1959 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I Long Wheelbase

A formal Silver Cloud I, left-hand drive, on the long wheelbase, with the division between the front and rear compartments. Front and rear air conditioning. Power steering and electric windows. Grey leather and burl walnut forward; blue Wilton underfoot; a sheepskin mouton overlay and the original vanity set in the rear armrest.
It is the quieter of the two cars — Shell Grey rather than black — and the one with the division glass. It pairs, when two cars are wanted, with the black 1965 Silver Cloud III.
Mileage as of September 2026: 48,946. It stood at about 48,600 miles when it arrived in Palm Beach in 2026.
The motor car
Ordered as a long-wheelbase Cloud I with division and delivered into a Beverly Hills household that kept a chauffeur. The specification was not sparse: rear air conditioning was specified from new, together with power steering, electric windows, rear seat vanities, rear radio controls, and mouton in the rear. As the car is presented now, both the front and the rear compartments are air conditioned.
History & provenance
Factory order, 3 June 1959: $19,681 — Jay Kasler, Free Sewing Machine Co., Beverly Hills, through Peter Satori of Calif., Inc.
Dealer purchase paper, 25 June 1959: $18,613.52, including tax and license. The two figures are both in the file; they are not the same line and are not added together.
Raymond Russell Jones drove for the Kasler household for many years. That belongs to the history of the car. It is not a description of Palm Beach Livery.
Later papers include Alex A. Roger, M.D., from about 1972, and afterward Nicholas and Valerie Roger. Titles also show William F. and Lynn L. Murphy of Pennsylvania, and Richard Norman Roger of Palm Springs.
In 1988 the car received substantial work — about $25,000 at the time — Shell Grey paint, wood, trim, mechanical attention, and a stainless exhaust. Shops named across the file include Peter Satori, Hornburg, RC Classics, Edmunds, Coachbuilt, and Evans.

Availability & the day
Offered for wedding and event photographs in the Palm Beach area: a photoshoot with an antique Rolls-Royce. Guests may ride by their own choice.
Service begins at $2,000 for up to three contiguous hours on site. The rate does not fall if less of the window is used. Additional contiguous hours are $600 per hour. Fifty miles round-trip from Palm Beach Gardens included; $10 per mile thereafter.
Champagne, crystal glasses, glass-bottled water, handkerchiefs, and napkins are included.
Forrest Lee owns the cars. When he is not present, Jim — a Navy veteran — is driver and steward of the car.
The Shell Grey 1959 may be reserved alone or together with the black 1965.
